went to watch SINGAPORE VS LEBANON at kallang stadium wif chun how, ben, dy, qh and waiyew.
speaking about kallang stadium, it shud be already been shut down for building a new stadium. i've went for the closing ceremony on 31/06/07 wif chun how, quan hui and danny. it was a SINGAPORE VS AUSTRAILIA match then lights out ceremony and follow by fireworks and party.
the crowd was quite small, a few thousands onli at 7pm, den slowly, crowd seems to turn out more slightly... although a big part, behind the goal posts, north and south, of the stadium was not occupied... wonder where did all the singaporean go to? for singapore to qualify for FIFA WORLD CUP 2010, such a turn out cannot be compared to any football passionate countries, it was disappointing. as singaporeans we shud back and support our team as much as we could. especially the students, given that it was a $3 ticket prices... it is much than affordable.
the kallang wave could not be made at first, but after a bigger turn out and crowd, a splash seems imminient... BUT, the coordination sucks, ended as fast as it started. -.-
on the crowd, didn't they know the match start at 7.30pm? wat the hell are they coming after 7.30pm? block our view. there was jamie yeo, wow? coming for a sports commentary. there was oso some fake supporters, in a group wearing yellow, come for media recording onli... dunno for wat... SINGAPORE TEAM NEED SUPPORTERS! -.- not just a shadow turn out.
must oso highlight, needless to say, WEAR RED.
there was a bunch of overly-excited malays seating behind. if there was no graciousness, one wud not be able to tell the different of them from a bunch of irritating baboons...
on the match, the first half was exciting, with an early goal, 8min. crowd jump for joy. the word GOAL blare the stadium for considerable seconds. and follow by a few clear-cut-goal misses... until 24min, the second goal was scored. this time, it was a wonderful effort by F. Shahul. he cut through the left side into the edge of penalty box, wif timing, patience he scored it.
the refree sux. blind. there was a dive by a lebanon player which a younger than 10 yr old kid can tell as he was saying innocently "eh? he fall down himself de..." shame the refree who could not spot it.
lebanon player are also a bunch of soft weaklings. can compare them wif thailand AH KUA. fall here and there. grab leg and cover face. HARLO? OSCAR OR GOLDEN HORSE? ACT SISSY LIKE MARK LEE FOR WAT? especially no. 8... LOL, he was jeered everytime he touches the ball till he was sub out during the 60s minute as he kept falling like he was trample by elephants whenever a singapore player was near to him.
2nd half was rather boring comparing with first half. there were a few good tries by a few players, especially no. 9 of singapore, so unfortunate that the ball he kicked hit the pole. crowd sighed for seconds... OOOOOH....
IMO, singapore shud have win by at least 5, if not 6, goals... wasted so many open goal opportunites and chances...

rainbows does not happen frequently. it only happens when all the conditions are right. the chances are quite small, as having the right angle of refraction, the position of sun and water medium so on... out of so many posibilities, the posibility for the condition to cause the effect to take place are rather small...
so happen tat i get a few shots of it at my grandmother house...=)
went to shao mu wif my relatives... visited 3 grave... m'sia is different, the land is big, the grave is for 99 years and the longest grave i went to is for 40 years le. sounds a bit creepy or inauspicious by talking about grave grave here...
but, gotta face it, our turn will come... singapore's grave is for 15 years onli, so rather go for cremation, save the trouble.
i was wondering, those graves tat have not been cleared for decades are already stumbling... my uncle commented 'most probably the younger generations does not remember where the grave site is or their family line had ended...'
tat prompted me to sympathise with the grave... qing ming and shao mu is a tradition of chinese. we must remember the hardship our ancestor had gone through in order to let this family line survive till present... we shudn't forget our past, particularly our direct ancestor.
but the "stumbling grave's" cycle do repeats... after my father pass away, how will i be able to carry on to shao mu at my 'grand ancestor' grave? no one will lead me to it... and most probably the onli graves i'll be visiting will be my parents de.
and sad to say, the grave will gradually stumble under the rogue weather and time and wild weeds will sprout across and entangle it. it will stay hidden and unnotice wif time until another guy sigh upon looking at the stumble grave and begin wondering....
there was a joke while visiting the grave. my uncle said 'mas selamat will be delighting if he's hiding in choa chu kang... another month of free food...' wah kao... LOL.
and on we were dicussing about the escape of mas selamat, some suggest it may be a conspiracy which happen to be quite interesting...
country A will be holding a big international event in 201X, to prevent any terrorist attack, it negotiate a behind-the-scene deal wif the terrorist, which was to release one of its leaders... haha, like a movie, but wat's the probabilty? its just a speculation...
another was, sam tamales had escaped more than 2hrs, perhaps 1 or 2 day? we never know, as it was report, or else, wif singapore security standard, in less than a week, he would be captured, but till now... ??????????
IMO, its more than a coincidence that a important leader of terrorist escape through a toilet opening, more like a drama, and frankly speaking, i predicted it correctly tat the escapee used the toilet loop hole to escape... it happen before... not only on the movie screen, but even reality... wat a security laspe... -.-

Friends
one shud be decisive. but when one is decisive, in the process, it will hurt others. i dun like to disappoint others and i dun like others disappoint me.
sometimes, being decisive, will hurt friends. but i know, i'm not an ingrate and neither i will be an ingrate. i always bear in mind their kindness, understanding and loyalty. if it happen tat i'm a ingrate, may i be the last.
i hope they can understand. sometimes, its about the big picture tat is important. it all may seems as excuses... but no, i mean it. if its for my friends, its only yes and no. if i say yes, its all the way. if i happen to say no, its with regret.

in the recent few days, i've travelled on mrt a few times. i've some thoughts along the travel, particularly, the newton-orchand tunnel. as may some would have know, along the newton-orchard stretch, there are LCD tvs... plasma tvs, or wat ever thing u call it, displaying advertisement.
at first i was impress by the implemetation of such advertisting medium. however after some thoughts, i have quite different views.
1) izzit cost effective? at the first i think it was a waste of money to implement this kind of advertising medium along the newton-orchard tunnel. as we know, one such item cost a few thousands dollars... wats the used in spending such money? showing off how advance in technology we are? i dun think it is a money well spend or a long-sighted investment. it is unneccessary. it is more like a white elephant.
instead of having such TVs implement along newton-orchard tunnel, in my opinion, it would be wiser to have those TVs on the mrt train itself. yes, it could cost a lot, as there are many mrts and cabins that the TVs have to be installed on. but come to think of it, not only commuters that happen to be on the mrt during the newton-orchard stretch would be able to see the advertisement, but all.
the introduction of those TVs on mrt trains will significantly highlight how well and practical singapore make use of technology. not only it will fulfill the aim of advertising, it can also televised television programmes for commuters.
2)after thinking how should the whole thing be, i started thinking how does the mrt company have tat much money on installing those TVs. they must have be making profit from the thousands, if not millions, of commuters everyday.
if they can make tat much profit, why did they increased the cost of travelling? it does not make sense to me. it is the millions of singaporean that result in the success of the mrt company. the mrt company enjoys monopolising rights as there is only one mrt company... its the singaporean citizens behind the success, the profit of the mrt company... why are we not tasting the fruits of success?
suppose that the mrt company is a state own company, the prices shud never go up if tat current price of travelling is enough and sustainable for the maintainence of the mrt. it is the daily transportation of millions of singaporeans, why shud a single group or corporation benefit from it only?

A Mirage
A form seen in the distance
Becomes clearer the closer we get to it.
If a mirage were water,
Why would it vanish when we draw near?
The farther we are from the world,
The more it appears real to us;
The nearer we draw to it, the less visible it becomes,
And, like a mirage, becomes signless.
Because the person is neither earth, nor water, nor fire,
Nor air, nor space, nor consciousness,
Nor something completely different from all these,
What then is the person?

Story telling. pls bear wif the grammatical and spelling errors, just get the meaning of it.
after a storm, it is a familiar scene tat there will be puddles of water everywhere. there was a traveller who was walking through a road and happen to notice a centipede was struggling in a pundle of water.
immediately he walked towards the puddle of water where the centipede was and used his finger to fish out the centipede. he was stung by the centipede in the process of trying to save the centipede, but he decide to bear with the pain and put the centipede on a dry area.
once the centipede was on the dry area, again it dropped into a puddle of water. upon seeing, the traveller fish out the centipede wif his hand and he was stung the second time.
a villager saw this scene and asked, 'why did u bother to save that centipede knowing it will sting you?'
the traveller reply, 'its in the nature that centipede will sting. however its in my nature that i can't bear seeing the centipede drown. i can't help but to save it.'

went to ACM again. there were a lot of pple. a lot till the point that at some point, given the limited moving space during the exhibition, the whole passage is occupied and there was a nid for guides to 'queue' to introduce some artefacts and there was little space for pple to move around.
the guide was for the chinese class and english class.
this was the first time i guide a chinese class. my explanation was not fluent for the first chinese class group, perhaps it was the first time i'm guiding a chinese class group or we were not given the chinese version of explanatory during the tour session. stammer and stumble here and there, must have disappoint those kids...
but after the first group, i am able to explain better and fluently as the children looks interested and attentive to wat i have to say. they seems to leave with a smile, a satisfaction and i'm relieved and glad that if they were happy.
the most interesting part is the primary one chinese group. only 1 single primary one chinese group tat i guided as due to time-constraint. they were cute, impressable. ya, primary one, innocent. they were always interested and were smiling throughout.
also seen a mosque, islam youth group during nalanda trail. shud be a inter-faith interaction. think that is important, for it promotes understanding between different religion.
wonder if i can bring some of my friends there for an excursion... anyone? haha...
